It is with a heavy heart that the Boys & Girls Club has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Women's Luncheon due to the COVID-19 health crisis. The luncheon is how we receive a large portion of our annual funding. Donations to the event help us provide youth development programs for over 3,000 kids each year.
We knew cancelling this event would have a financial impact for our organization, but the health of our community is the most important priority. Your support makes our work possible. We’re asking our loyal Women's Luncheon supporters to consider helping out in the following ways:
Consider making a tax deductible gift normally reserved for the Women's Luncheon.
Create a Facebook fundraiser in honor of the Women's Luncheon.
Create a Peer-to-Peer fundraiser with friends that typically sit at their table.
Advocate for the Club when talking with friends or on social media.
Check in on families they know that have kids that come to the Club.
Your gift would be used to support our mission of empowering all children to become healthy, caring and productive adults. Despite these challenging times, our mission and work continue. Our amazing youth development professionals have been busy creating virtual curriculum and an innovative plan to use technology to connect with our young people at home, so they can participate in activities, classes and workshops in a safe, engaging and fun way.
Every child deserves a great future. Given the urgency of the moment, our youth need us now more than ever. With your help, we can overcome this challenge and continue to provide the connections our young people need to learn, grow and thrive regardless of circumstances.
